Iron Infusion
At Georgina Grace, we now offer intravenous (IV) iron infusions to help patients safely restore iron levels and improve overall well-being. Iron infusions are typically recommended for individuals who cannot tolerate oral iron supplements or who need to correct iron deficiency more quickly.
Important Details
To ensure safe and effective care, please note the following:

Referral Required: A referral from an outside office is needed before appointments can be booked.

By Appointment Only: Infusions are not available on a walk-in basis.

Medication Used: We administer MonoFerric® (ferric derisomaltose), a clinically proven treatment for iron deficiency anemia.

Supervised Care: All infusions are provided under medical supervision for your safety and comfort.
Coverage and Fees

OHIP Coverage: The cost of the MonoFerric® medication itself is covered for eligible patients under the Ontario Drug Benefit (ODB) program and many private insurance plans.

Administration Fee: Please note there is a separate clinic administration fee for the infusion procedure. This fee is not covered by OHIP. Patients will be advised of the fee when booking their appointment.
How to Get Started
If you believe you may benefit from an iron infusion, speak with your healthcare provider about a referral to Georgina Grace. Once we receive your referral, our team will contact you to schedule your appointment.
